Another meaningful showcase of our grounded beliefs was through the grand knighting ceremonies where newly minted fencers were knighted by our founders and maestros. The ceremonious observance of honour, grace and chivalry were instilled since the first Z Grand Gala five years ago and it continues to inspire more young minds in becoming a refined hero through the art of fencing.

One significant achievement made was from the recent charity event “Chivalry Day” where members contributed monies towards Melrose Home - The Children’s Aid Society and fenced for charity. The theme Make a Difference through Fencing was fulfilled from the success in raising the highest ever amount of S$10,800. The cheque presentation ceremony was held on the first day of gala event with Mr Choy, Executive Director of Melrose Home receiving the cheque at the ceremony.

One for all, All for Z!

To celebrate the achievements of our young fencers, each afternoon was packed with fun-filled activities and treats such as balloon sculpting, face painting, candy floss, ice cream and the new segment ‘Fence for Fun’. Memorable moments and renewed Z spirits were also discovered as fencers took the opportunity to thank their coaches, staff and parents for their support through the years. Thoughtful gifts, “thank you” cards and warm embraces with gratitude were some of such grateful acts of support in abundance throughout the gala event.

Z Fencing would like to thank all participants for the continuous support towards the Z Grand Gala and in making this year’s event bigger and better than before. The event ended with a resounding success as fencers, families and friends were brought together as one to commemorate the glorious moments with honour, grace and chivalry.
