Z Fencers Win Big At Inter-school Fencing Championships 2011

Top junior fencers gathered at Clementi Sports Hall from 11-15 April to battle out for top honors schools category at the inaugural National Inter-school Fencing Championships 2011.

Up against the nation’s best, our Z Fencers stood tall and dominated at this event. In total, our Z Fencers secured a staggering 15 podium finishes that included:

  • 6 Gold Medals
  • 4 Silver Medals
  • 5 Bronze Medals

Clive Leu, who is also the winner of the national trials, powered through the finals and won by 15-8. Clive, a first year student from Meridian Junior College said:” This win will be a big boost to my confidence and I hope I can build on this win to achieve even better results for the rest of the year”.

Overall, our Z Fencers exhibited great spirit and sportsmanship in their medal winning performances. With unstoppable energy, passion and enthusiasm, we are confident in having many more medals haul by our promising young fencers.

Congratulations to all our fencers, their schools and Z coaches.
